Born in the UK with Indian ethnic origins in a family that has spent 3 generations living in East Africa. Followed an education pathway benefitting from the British educational system, it was only when reaching my university stage I realised that ethnicity was not something that should limit opportunities for me. I have benefited from a rich multicultural social circle on a personal level, but found myself compartmentalised due to the society image of my skin tone. Through self-development and learning I was able to understand my values at a deeper level which has led me on a journey enabling me to live the values I believe and create opportunities for others regardless of their gender, religion, ethnicity, physical ability, age or neurodiversity. To recognise a fellow human for their values and qualities rather than characteristics.
